Every blog must begin with some words, and perhaps it's fitting that we open with a quotation from one of the great teachers of advaita (nonduality) in the 20th century, Nisargadatta Maharaj. The Eastern mystics reached a highly sophisticated understanding of the inner nature of consciousness and reality many centuries ago in an area of human experience that does not lend itself easily to scientific testing. Yet, as we can see since the emergence of quantum physics theory, science has begun to describe the universe in very similar terms to the way it can be experienced, as an absolute underlying single reality from which everything arises.

The Science and Nonduality conference offers an opportunity to explore these ideas, to consider, accept or reject them, and to meet others with similar interests.
